Interview with a professor
During this week, I took an interview with a
professor in my field, Professor Wu. His major is accounting. Here are some
interest thing I want to share on the blog.
When he was in the university, he
was very interesting on writing. He like writing diary every day before he go
to sleep. He said it is very lonely to study abroad so writing is his friends
which he can shared his story without worry about other people’s feeling. Also
he said it is true that many people have bias on this major. Many people though
he must really good at math. Not only his schoolmates during he was studying
but also the colleagues who working together right now like to ask him some
math questions. He said, “It is very awkward when other people asked you some
hard math question and you cannot solve it.” Then he pointed at the bookshelf
behind him, “I still save my textbook. And as you can see, it is true that I am
not specific at math.”
When I asked that had he ever try to explain this prejudice?
He answered that “Of course! I explain this every time. And also I wrote an article
about this. Also this is the main reason for me to take the interview. ”
